And so begins my insanity

I've descided that I really really really want to do a marble sculpture in my forth year of university (haven't even started yet hehe). So after a lot of thought and searching and "skimming and scamming" (as my english teacher, whom I took to be a gyspy, would say) I determined my topic so that I may begin research, to save Uni time for preparation, and the actual sculpture:

RAPHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

I'm not a relgious person... at all.... I claim to worship squirrels when asked my beliefs, haven't been to church in years, and before that it was simply for christmas because I had to. I also make a point to make fun of bible carrying cases at all possible moments. (My friends thought I was pranking them when I first told them my idea and plans, that's how bad it is )

Not to sound disrespectful, I understand that people have beliefs, and would never dream of telling them otherwise. Religion just isn't for me.

So why would someone who worship squirrels want to do a sculpture of a very religious icon?

Because the marble told me to.
Marble to me is spiritual.
I don't know why
It just is.
And I will not fight that, and I also don't feel like sculpting squirrels. (Because I don't worship them everyday and I can't sell it in a depression )

That and Raphael is all about Healing, Happiness, and Love.

So I've begun my research

I bought a Bible, something I never thought I'd own.
The books of Enoch and Tobit are on thier way. (tobit features our good friend Raph)

Right now I'm trying to get a general feel for angels, get a base by reading sections of the Bible. I'll move on to Tobit and Enoch after that.

I'm even taking notes

Anyone with further reading suggestions??
